Products: EXFO FLS-600 Light Source

The FLS-600 light source is designed to achieve a very high degree of versatility. Lasers, LED models, and multiple wavelengths are available for you to choose from. In addition, it is possible to create a list of "common" wavelengths and then scan only those wavelengths during testing, saving valuable time.

Automatic Wavelength Switching

The FLS-600 can automatically switch between available wavelengths if used in automatic switching mode. When using this light source with a compatible power meter (FPM/FOT-600), the latter recognizes the wavelength used and then switches to the appropriate calibration parameters.

Remote Reference

Using signal encryption, the receiver can obtain information about the power to be used as a reference, helping to ensure efficient referencing, even when the two devices are very far apart.

EXFO's FLS-600 can test passive optical networks (PONs) at 1310 nm, 1490 nm and 1550 nm, the three wavelengths recommended by the ITU-T (G.983.3) for PONs.

Like all of EXFO's portable instruments, the FLS-600 is designed for rugged quality and is ideal for the most demanding test conditions. It also features a keypad/LCD backlight for easy operation in darker environments
